Veolia Cincinnati Showcase
Get ready for an exciting Tuesday as the Round of 64 begins at the Cincinnati Showcase! This event has been elevated to a Slam status, worth 2,000 points. Taking place at the beautifully revamped Lindner Family Tennis Center, the venue boasts five permanent stadium courts, with the impressive Center Court seating up to 11,600 fans.

Lindner Family Tennis Center
Storylines:
It was just announced via pickleball.com that Ben Johns has withdrawn from men’s singles due to illness. He was slated to take on Chris Haworth, and now Jay Evans will take Ben’s place as “lucky loser.” Haworth was bound to make some waves after moving from the APP tour, but without Ben on the map, he might have an even better chance at making a deep run.
Hunter Johnson won his first gold medal in men’s singles at this event 1 year ago (which was moved to Atlanta during the Lindner Tennis Center’s reno), and now he’s #1 in singles after bumping Fed from the pedestal in Vegas.
After knocking off near-unbeatable Anna Leigh & Anna Bright in Las Vegas, Jorja & Tyra return for more magic. Can they take down the top team once again?
Teams to watch who may have a chance at taking down Ben & Anna Leigh: Christian & Catherine (getting some vengeance for Phonegate in Vegas?), JW & Jorja (returning after JW’s Vegas vacation), and Andrei & Anna B. (who are 11-2 together and beat Ben & AL in Austin in 2024).
It’ll be a tight battle in women’s singles with Anna Leigh defending her crown against Kate Fahey (2), Kaitlyn Christian (3), and Parris Todd (4).
In men’s dubs, Jay & Riley return after a solid run taking bronze in Bristol, and making it to QF in Vegas.
Tyler is switching things up this tournament, playing doubles with Grayson Goldin; they take on Max Freeman & Ryan Fu in the first round (R32). Meanwhile, Connor Garnett is partnering with Zane Navartil.
Jimmy’s favorites: juniors will be featured on SC1 Friday & Sunday, and GS on Saturday. Be sure to catch all the attitude that Jimmy’s been talking about!
Pros will be playing with the LT48 Lifetime ball, which is being used for all PPA events (MLP continues to use the Vulcan VPro Flight)
