Team breakdown, where to watch, and match schedule

The 2025 MLP season starts today!

A draft, a couple rounds of trades, and a boatload of rule changes later, the MLP is back in action! The 2025 season is set to begin with great excitement and anticipation in Orlando, Florida. This thrilling event will be hosted by the Orlando Squeeze at the prestigious USTA National Campus.
Throughout the weekend, all 16 Premier-level teams will be hitting the courts, offering exciting Saturday Night and Sunday Night Pickleball matchups. Expect some fun twists with "production enhancements," alternate uniforms, and unique presentations to keep things lively!
Opening night features a ProAm Exhibition game between the Orlando Squeeze players and former Orlando Magic athletes. The game will be broadcast live at 6:30 p.m. ET on FanDuel Sports Network Florida.
Since it’s been a minute, we’ll catch you up on the who’s-who of the current rosters, and refresh you on the rules and format changes for 2025.

Competition Structure
With Premier teams’ 6-person roster, their top 4 starters must be declared before each day of competition.
5th and 6th players on each team are not required to travel to events; should a team have an injury and their additional players are not in attendance, they will need to use onsite (undrafted) subs.
Rally scoring was replaced by traditional side-out scoring. Games will be played to 11 (win by 2).
DreamBreakers will be played to 21 with rally scoring, and players switching every 4 points. A freeze will happen on game point, as the DB must be won on a serve.
Regular-season events will be played for standings points, calculated the same as last year:
3 Points: Regulation win (i.e.: 3-1 or 4-0 win; no DreamBreaker needed)
2 Points: DreamBreaker win (i.e.: 3-2 win)
1 Point: DreamBreaker loss (i.e.: 2-3 loss)
0 Points: Regulation loss (i.e.: 1-3 or 0-4 loss; no DreamBreaker needed)
Standings points will determine seeding at the Mid-Season Tournament held once again at the Beer City Open, where teams can win additional standings points (6 points for winning, 4 for second place, 2 for third place). Top 10 teams will advance to the playoffs.

Major League Pickleball has been hard at work securing various media deals, which will broadcast regionally for those local teams. In addition to Pickleball TV, local Florida networks will televise Orlando Squeeze and Miami PBC matches as part of an agreement with FanDuel Sports Network.
A partnership with Gray Media will broadcast games for Atlanta Bouncers, Carolina Hogs, Columbus Sliders, and St. Louis Shock to networks in those markets.
